I am Ismail El Bouhali. I run Deals For Moms, a Facebook community of shoppers hunting clearance and markdowns, mostly at Walmart.

Everything on this site starts the same way: I walk the aisles, scan the tags, and photograph what I find. If a price is on this site, I saw it on a shelf or on a receipt. When something is reported by a community member rather than checked by me, the post says so.

Why that matters

Clearance is local. A red tag in one store means nothing in another, and half the "penny lists" online are copied between sites until nobody knows where the number came from. The only useful clearance content is content somebody actually verified.
